Welcome to the Head1Liners news team - the world's best source for the craziest
news!
Your ongoing task is to write attention-grabbing
headlines to various front page photographs. However, your fellow News
Staff members are also writing headlines for that same photo. You advance
in your career (around the board) as you gain votes of praise from other
writers. Talent does not go unrecognized -- excelling in your job results
in following a Column theme assigned by the Editor.
How Do You Play?
1. In each round, every player privately writes a news headline to one
shared photo card.
2. All headlines are read aloud in random and anonymous order.
3. Every person votes for his/her favorite headline (but not your own).
4. Writers move their game tokens forward for each vote s/he received.
In later rounds, we also add surprising challenges through
News Theme assignments. Perhaps you'll be writing for the Business section, or
the Luxury & Fashion column! And now imagine the diverse and ridiculous
headlines with the front page photo of a chicken...or a donut...or a diver...
